Man oh man…has it been a while, or what??  I’m not even sure I remember my way around this rusty ol’ blog.  More importantly, is anyone out there?  :-)

So much has (and has not) transpired in the past several months!  We’ve been busy, busy!  For starters, let’s chat about what has NOT happened.  As crazy as it sounds, we thought we were moving.  Not once, but twice.  While the last few months felt like quite the roller coaster — enter: prepping the house, re-organizing, purging, calculating, yada, yada, yada — we are thrilled to be staying put…for now, anyway.

As for what HAS been going on…well, my babies have been growing like weeds.  Every new milestone, every new found level of maturity, is beautiful and exciting.  Though that comes with the sadness that they are growing WAY TOO FAST, I try to focus on the former and not so much on the latter.

Our little G-man is almost three years old.  THREE!  Did you hear that?  At two-and-a-half months shy of his third birthday, our oldest is SO MUCH FUN.  A toot?  Definitely.  Brilliant, funny, energetic, fascinating, independent, loving?  Yes, yes, yes and yes.  (Not enough yes’s, huh?)  He is absolutely wonderful to be with.  I love running errands with him and all of our silly and awesome conversations.  I could listen to him talk for hours and find fascinating the way his little mind works.  And, he and daddy are starting to do a lot of father-son outings like hitting balls at the driving range, going to the soccer fields, having batting practice and so much more.  Watching that relationship develop is so rewarding.

As for the little Nugget?  Brace yourself.  He is about to turn ONE!  Plain and simple, I can not believe that he is already 10 1/2 months old.  I absolutely love getting to know him.  To mention just a few, our little spitfire started walking at about 9 months, is really starting to “talk,” and is on the heels of his big brother (AT ALL TIMES).  He is into everything — especially if G is.  He’s a loud little booger (gee, I remember writing that about G) and definitely makes himself heard.  Fortunately, he’s been much easier on us than G in the sleeping department.  No, he wasn’t one of those “magical” babies that sleeps through the night from day one, but he’s older now and has matured into a pretty acceptable sleep pattern.  On a typical night, I don’t have to get up with him until 4:30 or 5 am and that makes me happy.  :-)

The hubbster is doing phenomenal as well, both personally and professionally.  He is a very hard worker and is just as committed in his daddy role.  I couldn’t be luckier.  (Don’t be fooled by the measly two lines of this post I’ve dedicated to him…he is one of the ties that bind and he knows it!)

Aside from taking care of our little foursome, I’ve had my hands in a gazillion around-the-house projects.  See, when we thought we were moving, we started preparing the house for the market; i.e. doing ALL of the things we’d talked for years about doing (re-painting, new blinds, repairing a few things, etc, etc).  When we realized we weren’t moving, we decided that it is really no fun to live in a house full of “I’d love to change that’s.”  So…we charged forward.  With new paint colors comes new decor, right?  Yay!  The entire house has been transformed to a clean light gray color palette.  My happy place.  And, I’ve been having a lot of fun redecorating.  It takes a loooooong time with two kids in tow, but it’s coming along.

Not to mention, I’m loving my blossoming little stationery business, Dapper Prints.  My new Etsy shop keeps me extra occupied but it has been a great addition to my word-of-mouth business.

I’m going to do my very best to be a better blogger.  I have a few things I’m dying to share, including a wonderful (LONG OVERDUE) book review by my dear blogging friend Robin at Pink Dryer Lint.

Have a blessed weekend.
