Honestly, I’m not that crazy about many styling products. (I suppose I was in the past, like back in sixth grade when I’d try anything and everything that claimed it could straighten my curly{ish} hair.) But, my stylist uses this on me and I’m hooked.
It’s a root lift that, well, actually lifts. It’s called Volumizing Spray Mousse, by Alterna, and it is — you guessed it — fabulous. I especially like a little oompf at my roots when my hair is short{er} and I just cut off about five inches! Yikes, right?? I’ll try to post a new-do pic soon. Anywhoo, I’ve used this quite a few times (with long and short hair) and I can’t find anything I dislike. No yucky, gunky feel once it dries. No greasiness. No nasty smell. And, have I mentioned that it actually works? Really, what more is there to say? Even my hubby noticed a little “pep” the first time I used it. Scoring some points, isn’t he???
This post could not have come at a more perfect time. I was in Target yesterday staring at the volumizing products thinking, "I don't want to put any of these in my hair," and went home empty handed. I will have to give this a try.
